A Friendly Social Service Reminder from BeCA
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
BeCa wishes to remind all of you of the importance of being vigilant at all times. Lately, there has been an increase of crime incidents in the central city area.
A kiwi acquaintance of the writer had her house almost broken into last friday.
Few of our friends were mugged and forced to surrender their money and their other belongings. These incidents took place while they were walking home at night.
Just a reminder, however calm and peaceful Auckland looks, do not be fooled with a false sense of security. Despite all this, criminals are always out there. What we can do is to becareful and take precautionary steps.
- Avoid going out alone at night if you don’t a really important reason for doing so.
- Go out in groups
- Don’t bring too much cash etc.
- For the sisters, becareful. We certainly do not want bad things to happen to any of us during our stay in New Zealand
To add to that, BeCA wishes you all the best in your coming papers. InsyaAllah all your effort will be considered as an ibadah as long as your intention is true.
It is narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu’minin, Abu Hafs ‘Umar bin al-Khattab, radiyallahu ‘anhu, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, say:
“Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated.”
